OUR COMPANY
We have been working in the non-destructive testing sector for 30 years on the initiative of Fabio Milan, the owner. Mr. Milan is an expert technician in possession of an ISO 9712 certification for level 2, and an SNT-TC-1A certification for level 3. Our aim is to offer a prompt, efficient, serious and high-quality service. Thanks to our staff constant dedication we have reached and maintained a prestigious position in our sector, counting among our clients leading figures of the metallurgical industry. Non-destructive testing verifies the presence of superficial and internal flaws of the product, without altering its functionality. All our personnel, who are in possession of an ISO 9712 and SNT-TC-1A certification, perform pre-service and in-service testing procedures on facilities, plants and structures made in metal materials, welded, forged etc., whatever their dimensions are. F.M.C. Ltd. is equipped to work in building sites, mechanical workshops, amusement parks and major works in Italy and all over the world.
MACHINERY AND METHODS
We use cutting-edge machines.
As required by the regulations concerning the non-destructive testing, the personnel constantly update their knowledge through courses that aim to modernize the traditional methods and to obtain qualifications to new methods and certifications.
For the non-destructive testing of welding, parts, and plants components we apply the most traditional methods:
RT – Radiographic Testing - UT – Ultrasonic testing - MT – Magnetic Particle Test - VT - Visual Test
PT – Liquid Penetrant Testing - ET – Electromagnetic Test - MIT – Magnetic Inductive Testing - Hardness
And the most innovative ones:
TOFD - PHASED ARRAY - VIDEO ENDOSCOPY - SPECTROPHOTOMETRY
CERTIFICATIONS
All the services proposed by F.M.C. Ltd. are performed efficiently, promptly and rigorously respecting the regulations established by the certifying authority.
The personnel in charge of testing is professionally prepared in order to guarantee the respect of legal parameters. According to the Italian regulations, the ISO 9712 qualifications for the personnel must be managed by the Italian Coordinating Committee for non-destructive-testing, National Naval Register, Italian Institute of Welding, Bureau Veritas, and others, in the person of authorized bodies.
